Frankie's at Home

I have a buddy who has lived in Brooklyn for 9 years and has shown me dozens of remarkable neighborhood spots. One of them being Frankie's 457 in Carroll Gardens where the most delicious handmade pastas and fresh mozzarella are served in abundance. This place is the real deal. So when I saw their cookbook at one of my favorite shops down my street, Moon River Chattel, I had to snag it for Erik's birthday. Dinner that night came directly from the recipes in the book and wow, were they impressive! A nice cookbook and dinner is a guaranteed winner.

Ricotta Cavatelli with Sausage and Browned Butter Sage Sauce
Roasted Broccolini with Lemon and Garlic
Tiramisu

The tiramisu was to die for, seriously one of the best I've ever had/made. And it was even better the next day.

  1. Oh my gosh, I love Frankie's 457! I live in Brooklyn Heights so we're just a 15 minute walk from the restaurant. We went last summer for the first time, and their ricotta and honey crostini was unbelievable. So incredibly good. Did you see the gorgeous patio they had out back for wedding receptions? I'd just love to have mine there. I didn't know they had a cookbook out, but now I'll have to get it. Thanks for this post and for your fantastic photos (the shot on the left is so surreal! The fork looks like it's floating!)

  2. I've never been to Frankies, but I think it's worth adding to a idea for our monthly "date night". Can't wait to enjoy the food!
