OoO baby I like it RaW

Oh the choices you encounter as a cook and a shopper. Whether it's a black crochet evening gown at the thrift store or a brand new 6-speed electric hand-mixer, they both deserve a place in my home. The new appliances and accessories are fun and all, but you know when you buy that thing that outlives all your expectations? Well, that's what my food dehydrator has been for me for the past 4 months. An A+ investment.
Here are a couple entirely experimental raw and dehydrated goods. This granola was UNBELIEVABLE! I'll make it again soon and share the recipe... but this time I'm thinking blueberries. The buckwheat groats and the whole pumpkin seeds add the crunch to the naturally clustered sweetness. Drop some in a pool of homemade almond milk and that my friends, is a breakfast of champions.

These crackers are the greatest. When I make tasty enzymatic goods like this I can't help but want to eat raw forever. I eat dairy and gluten on occasion, some things I just can't refuse (i.e. guava pastelito & pan de bono when back home), but otherwise I choose to stay away from processed products and ingredients. I hope this doesn't seem farfetched to you all, maybe you too have decided to put down the cheeze-it and pick up a carrot. Wishful thinking? One thing I am sure of, these crackers (and all treats on this post) would make you a believer in RAW.

I honestly don't remember what these little nuggets are made of... definitely cacao, pumpkin seeds, and chia seeds, coconut oil, dates, and spirulina

Using a dehydrator is a without doubt a process, it can seem intimidating or just unappealing to some. I truly love taking the extra time to create interesting, nutrient dense foods that explode with flavor! And the only hard part about raw baking is cleaning up. It's as easy as setting up a food processor and throwing in some dates, nuts, and whatever seems right. You may want to follow some recipes first if you fear you'll get date happy and glue your food processor together. But go for it and have fun!
